I used to shout so loudly at my kids my throat would hurt. 

Dinner time was the worst—everyone needing me at once, and something in me would just take over.

Afterwards, I’d feel mortified—drowning in guilt, thinking “I’m going to mess my kids up” … only to do it again.

From the outside, my life looked great. But inside, I felt out of control and deeply lonely—like a stranger lying next to my husband.

I never told anyone how I really felt. I just held it all in and carried on. Until one day, I couldn’t anymore.

Something had to change.

And it did.

I don’t react like that anymore.
I don’t carry everything on my own.
I don’t feel alone in my relationship anymore.

PERSONAL

I’m a woman who spent years holding everything together.

I’m also a recovering people pleaser.

There was a time when I automatically said yes to everyone—always helping, always smiling, always keeping things running.

And when I became a mum, that way of living caught up with me.

I kept giving, stretching myself, trying to stay on top of everything … until there was nothing left for me.

I no longer live like that.

I don’t need to perfect to feel in control.
I don’t perform—I show up as I am.
I don’t pretend—I express how I feel and what I need.
